"United 93"
Opens Friday, April 28
AMC Maple Ridge, Elmwood Regal, Transit Regal
Director Paul Greengrass has a taste for the tragic. His revered "Bloody Sunday" brilliantly and poignantly chronicles that fateful Sunday when British soldiers massacred Irish protestors. Critics are saying that Greengrass gives the same respect to the victims in "United 93," a film about the fatal plane ride that crash-landed on 9/11. He has not cast any known actors in hope of giving a more realistic and meaningful representation.

In a move that would make even the filthiest MySpace stalker cringe, a 14-year-old girl agrees to meet a local 3-year-old in a coffee shop, only to take him back to his house, drug him, tie him up, and torture him. Starring Patrick Wilson and Ellen Page, "Hard Candy" turns the tables on the usual Internet dating horror story.
