Revolving door for football coaching staff

First it was Antonio Goss that left Turner Gill's coaching staff for another opportunity, and since then it has been announced that both Alex Van Pelt and Charlie Jackson have also decided to leave the new coach's staff to accept positions elsewhere.

Van Pelt was hired as the quarterbacks coach in early February but left the Bulls for position with the Buffalo Bills. Gerald Carr, who has coached football for 25 years on both national and collegiate playing fields, will fill the vacancy. Carr will serve as the offensive coordinator as well as the quarterbacks coach.

Jackson was hired at the same time as Van Pelt and resigned his position as defensive coordinator and secondary coach to pursue other opportunities, according to a press release. Jimmy Williams, Gill's hire as linebackers coach, will assume the position of defensive coordinator. R. Todd Littlejohn, one of the two last coaches to be added to Gill's original staff, will fill the role of defensive backs coach along with being the team's outside linebackers coach and special teams coordinator.

Gill still hopes to add another defensive coach to his staff.
