Wrestling match will have live broadcast

When the Buffalo wrestlers hit the mat against the nation's sixth-ranked Central Michigan Chippewas on Sunday, fans will be able to listen to the match on the radio, as the meet will be broadcasted on WLVL-AM 1340. The match will also be carried by www.buffalobulls.com with Paul Vecchio and legendary Bulls' coach Ed Michael commentating.

Both teams are expected to finish at the top of the Mid-American Conference; Buffalo brings in a record of 8-3 overall and 1-1 in the MAC, and Central Michigan comes to Alumni arena at 9-4 overall and 1-0 in the MAC.

The headline match of the 1 p.m. meet will be between Buffalo senior Kyle Cerminara and the nation's top-ranked 197-pound Wynn Michalak from Central Michigan. Cerminara comes into the match with a 33-match winning streak and is currently ranked fourth in the country. Cerminara is the only undefeated wrestler at 197-pounds in the country.

Recent Buffalo standout Mark Budd will be looking again to increase his national standing in the 133-pound division, as the No. 13-ranked grappler faces off against the No. 11-ranked Jason Borrelli of Central Michigan. Buffalo's Harold Sherrell, who is also nationally ranked, will put his No. 1 MAC ranking on the line against the MAC's No. 2 Bubba Gritter in the heavyweight division.

The broadcast will be available online free of charge from the Bulls' Web site.

Southpaw signee makes Puma Top 30 Prospects


Incoming Buffalo freshman pitcher R.L. Eisenbach has earned a spot on the Puma All-American Top 30 Prospects. Eisenbach was selected from a 195-player field, ranking second with his curveball and control. His throws his fastball upwards of 93 miles per hour.

The high school senior took a 15-2 career record to Arizona for the 14-team event. As a junior, Eisenbach set a high school record for strikeouts when he sat down 21 batters against Fischer Catholic, Ohio's Division 4 state runner-up.

The No. 1 prospect from the combine was Brandon Brown from Cantonment, Fla., who signed with Pensacola Junior College.
