Byler takes MAC honors

Junior forward Braden Byler of the men's soccer team became Mid-American Conference player of week for the first time Monday after putting up standout numbers during last weekend's play. After UB's leading scorer, sophomore Lee Catchpole, sustained a head injury in Friday's contest against Bowling Green, Byler entered the game with a 2-0 Bulls lead and came in and clinched the victory by adding two more goals for Buffalo.

Currently, Brown has 912 career digs and Weekley touts 908 career kills.

His 12 wins also put him in second place for wins in a single season while his seven shutouts makes for the most the team has had in 15 years. The school record for shutouts stands at eight set by Marty Pavone in 1981.
