"Baseball: Young, But Determined"

In only their third season of Division I baseball, the UB Bulls had a record-breaking year and will look to keep their strong play in full swing in the upcoming season.

UB lost nine seniors, hurting both the pitching staff and offensive scheme of the Bulls. However, with a great returning class, the Bulls will hope to make some noise in the MAC. Led by big bat Joe Mihalics (.344, 31 RBI) and pitcher Nick Bellacose (3-5, 3.31 ERA), the season should not be anything less than exciting.

With a respective pitching staff led by Bellacose, Dustin Clark (3-4, 5.60 ERA) and Chris McGraw (3-2, 5.65 ERA), the team will be sure to be in contention throughout the season.

Mihalics had an impressive 12-game hitting streak and will continue his hot hitting this season. Shortstop Phil Vanhorne (.304, 10 doubles), right fielder Andrew Wengert (.278) and left fielder Jordan Alcott (.212, 25 RBI) will also help to power the offense.

The Bulls will be soft in the infield, as second baseman Adrien Daniels will be gone as well as catcher, and the UB all time leader in doubles and career hits, Brandon Dicesare. Bryan Sanchez, who had eight home runs this season and is UB's career home run leader, will surely also be missed.

Head coach Bill Breene's Bulls continue to improve every season and hope to continue this trend as they head into the upcoming season hoping to make some noise in the ever so competitive MAC.
