Men's Tennis

Buffalo was shut out in both of their MAC matches over the weekend, at Bowling Green on Friday and at Ball State on Saturday, losing by identical 7-0 scores. The team won only one set in their 18 total matches when senior Fery Kasiman took the second set 6-3 over Bowling Green's Milos Jirout. Kasiman would lose the match 7-5, 3-6, 1-0 (10-8).

The Bulls will host the MAC Men's Tennis Championships starting on April 25 at the UB Tennis Complex near the Ellicott dorms.

Women's Tennis

UB's women produced the same result as the men over the weekend, losing to Bowling Green 7-0 Friday, and Ball State 7-0 Saturday. The Bulls failed to win a single set in any match.

Theron Smith

The junior point guard of the Ball State men's basketball team has declared himself eligible for the 2002 NBA Draft in June. Smith was second in the nation in double doubles last season, and claims that he will not retain an agent.

Should Smith not be drafted, he would be eligible to return to Ball State for his senior season. By NCAA rule, a basketball player is allowed to enter a professional league's draft once and still maintain his amateur edibility provided that he does not retain an agent.
