What's Happening Around UB


April 15

President William Greiner will host "Talk of the University" live on WBFO 88.7 FM from 7 to 8 p.m.

A Spring AIDS Memorial will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Student Union Lobby.



April 16

The Women's Club will host "Women's Club International Good-bye Party" from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in 210 Student Union.

The Living Well Center will host a testicular self-exam workshop from 6 to 7 p.m. in 222 Student Union.

The Graduate Student Association will show "Chunhyang" beginning at 7 p.m. in the Student Union Theater. Admission is free for students.



April 17

The Leadership Development Center will host "Decorative Soap Making" 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. in 259 Student Union.

The Counseling Center will host "Coping With Test Anxiety" from 12 to 1 p.m. in 250 Student Union.

The Muslim Student Association will host "In Defense of Islam: In Light of the Events of Sept. 11th" from 12:30 to 4 p.m. in the Student Union Theater. Admission to the event is free.



April 18

The Academic Advisement Center will host "Using UB Technology: There's Virtually No Way Around It" from 1 to 2:30 p.m. in 201 Capen Hall, second floor of UGL. This program will discuss how to access grades, register for courses and review and understand DARS reports.

The UB Environment and Society Institute will host an "Earth Day Event" beginning at 7 p.m. at 107 Allen Hall, South Campus.



April 19

The UB Libraries and the College of Arts and Sciences will host "Free at Last: A History of the Abolition of Slavery" from 10 to 11:30 a.m. in 31 Capen Hall.



April 20

The Student Alumni Board will host "Oozfest: UB Muddy" at the Mud Pit on St. Rita's Lane behind South Lake Village.

The Japanese SA will host Japan Night at 4:30 p.m. at Center for Tomorrow. Tickets are $15 and are available at the SA Ticket Office in 350 Student Union.
