OPINION

Snow Ponies Over Bay Area Gold Bosses?

You don't have to like sports to know of the breaking news that has revolved around former Indianapolis Colts quarterback Peyton Manning. He was released by the Colts earlier this month and ever since then, the league has gone into a craze to land him and become a playoff, even Super Bowl favorite.

OPINION

Roger the Bounty Hunter

"A linebacker's job is to knock out running backs and to knock out receivers," - Ray Lewis. Anyone who watches football understands the job of a defender: to use his body to physically punish offensive players, stop them from moving down the field, and make sure they don't score. Apparently NFL commissioner Roger Goodell doesn't understand what defenders are supposed to do.

OPINION

"An Ending to Forget, But a Season to Remember"

This all feels so wrong. The season wasn't supposed to be over right now, and the Bulls were supposed to be the Mid-American Conference team making waves on the national scene...not the Sweet 16-bound Ohio Bobcats. It's hard to believe we're back here again.

OPINION

Give 'Super Mario' the Coin

What's not to like about the Bills' signing of star defensive end Mario Williams, unless you're being a giant pessimist or a Bills hater? Williams, the best defensive player available in free agency (and - given Peyton Manning's uncertain health - maybe the best player, period), just so happened to be what the Bills most desperately needed: a dominant pass rusher. They tied for third-fewest sacks in the league last year.

OPINION

Keepin' It Hood

Location is always crucial when considering a place to live. Is the neighborhood age appropriate, is it clean, is it safe, is it close enough to a job or school?
