UB Police blotter 3/22/16 - 3/28/16

All information according to University Police. 

3/22

10:43 a.m. – A UB employee reported a female in her 20s was having a seizure in the basement of Jacobs Hall. The female was conscious and breathing and refused treatment.

1:02 p.m. – A complainant reported “distasteful” writing submitted in a blue exam answers booklet.

5:33 p.m. – A subject was reportedly sending text messages to his or her ex threatening suicide. The subject was given information regarding Counseling Services and was advised to call University Police if he or she wanted to speak with the on-call counselor.

5:36 p.m. – Student Life reported a possibly “hateful symbol” etched in the middle stall of a Capen bathroom.

12:04 a.m. – A subject reported his car was inoperable after he was driving on Rensch Road toward Sweet Home Road and “it stopped working.” Patrol reported the subject ran out of gas and would stay with him until a friend arrived.

1:35 a.m. – An anonymous caller reported the hallway in Spaulding Quad constantly smells like marijuana and the odor was “exceptionally strong” at that moment. The caller stated he had previously reported the issue to a resident adviser (RA) several times and did not believe any action had been taken. Patrol did not find marijuana upon arrival, however they reported a slight odor in the area.

11:22 p.m. – A UB student reported an individual was following her. She reported there was a male in her class who told her he was taking the class to be able to see her more.

3/26

5:47 a.m. – An RA called to report a UB student was “extremely sick to her stomach” and dry heaving. The student had been drinking but was conscious and did not appear to have any injuries. The victim was transported to Millard Fillmore Hospital and issued Student Wide Judiciary (SWJ) paperwork.

12:29 p.m. – A UB student reported that a subject needed assistance after consuming marijuana brownies. The victim was conscious but not responding to the student and was also vomiting. The victim refused treatment.

3/28

12:23 p.m. – A UB student reported a 19-year-old male attempted suicide by taking an unknown substance. The victim was conscious and breathing. The student reported the victim left a note. The victim admitted to have taken Nyquil, ibuprofen and Tylenol. The victim was transported to Erie County Medical Center (ECMC) for treatment.

5:01 p.m. – A UB student reported his bike was stolen from the Main Circle on March 27.
