Student Spotlight

Kurtis Sprung was only 3 years old when he began to dance. When most other toddlers were running around on the playground, Sprung was honing his own dance skills, tackling genres like ballet, rap, jazz and gymnastics, just to name a few. Today at 19, the sophomore dance and math major competed in countless dance competitions, winning the title of Mr. Dance of New York twice and finishing in the top five both times he participated in Mr. Dance of America. Although some might use these accomplishments as an excuse to slack off, Sprung only uses his successes as fuel to improve.

"Art, aesthetic and the apocalypse"

It has been said that art can take you places; looking at a well-crafted piece of artwork can lead viewers into imaginative spaces worlds away from their ordinary lives. McGraw drives to freedom

Country music veteran Tim McGraw has earned his title as a respected entity within the genre and his latest album Two Lanes of Freedom manifests why. After nearly two successful decades with Curb Records, Tim McGraw left the label and signed with Big Machine Records for the release of his latest album Two Lanes of Freedom on Feb.

My Bloody Valentine amazes again after decades-long hiatus: m b v album review

Album: m b v Artist: My Bloody Valentine Label: Self-released Grade: B+ My Bloody Valentine's landmark achievement, 1991's Loveless, is full of stunning moments from its mind-altering opener, "Only Shallow," to the guitar-distorted fantasy of "Soon." However, there's a particularly stunning moment in the middle of it all where vocalists Bilinda Butcher and Kevin Shield sing on "When You Sleep." "When I look at you/I don't know what's real," they sing. How can they be so self-aware?
