With end-of-the-semester papers due soon, many students find Internet resources invaluable when conducting research. Though we've all been warned as to the factual basis of what's found online, sites along the lines of Wikipedia are supposed to be in a different category. Reference sites dwell in facts, not sensationalism.
President Bush's Wednesday speech pertaining to U.S. war efforts in Iraq was notable for his acknowledgment of what's been obvious for a long time: the war isn't going as advertised. The administration, publicly, admitted for the first time that mistakes have been made since the invasion of Iraq in 2003.

His ultimate goal is for UB to become a major player in the international education scene. Now, with recent hires and the move to increase enrollment, the change Simpson's vision foresaw in UB's future is underway.

You'd think the latest public-relations campaign emanating from the White House addressing critics of the Iraq war would be grounded in fact. A recent poll found 57 percent of Americans think Bush deliberately misled the nation into the Iraq war, and only 33 percent categorized him as honest. In response to this perception, Republican spinsters should have been truthful in defense of pre-war intelligence.

The pilot program being used by 21 UB professors allowing access to photos of students within their classes presents challenges to students' privacy, but seems worthwhile nonetheless.
