Women’s basketball (19-13, 10-8 MAC) fell to Kent State (21-10, 13-5 MAC) 78-60 in the Mid-American Conference (MAC) Championship game Saturday morning. The Bulls led at halftime by 4, but the second half saw Kent State go on an 11-0 run, which proved to be insurmountable. The Golden Flashes will represent the MAC in the NCAA tournament winning their sixth MAC Championship in program history.

UB football head coach Maurice ‘Mo’ Linguist has left his position at UB to join new Alabama head coach Kalen DeBoer’s staff, UB announced in a statement. He is expected to become the team’s co-defensive coordinator and work with the team's defensive secondary, according to ESPN.

On Monday, former University at Buffalo men’s basketball forward Jeenathan Williams’ contract with the Houston Rockets was converted to a two-way deal. Williams will now play for both the Houston Rockets and its G-League affiliate, the Rio Grande Valley Vipers. CBS Sports announced the move.

Men’s basketball (15-16, 9-9 MAC) defeated Miami (OH) (12-19, 6-12 MAC) 68-63 on Friday night at Alumni arena, securing the Bulls the No. 6 seed in the MAC Tournament. UB rallied from behind despite missing leading scorer and sophomore guard Curtis Jones due to sickness. Junior forward Isiah Adams, who had a team-high 16 points, was the engine behind the Bulls’ success.
