The Buffalo Bulls (3-3, 1-1 Mid-American Conference) played in one of the longest games in the history of college football on Saturday. They fell 71-68 in a game that lasted seven overtimes, tying the NCAA record and setting the MAC record for most overtimes in a game. The 139 combined points were the highest point total in an FBS game ever.

The Buffalo Bulls (3-2, 1-0 Mid-American Conference) have finally started to find their rhythm and are on a three game win streak. They won their conference opener Saturday by beating the Kent State Golden Flashes (1-4, 0-1 MAC) 27-13. Junior quarterback Drew Anderson made the first start of his career and led the Bulls to their first conference opener win in three years.

The Buffalo Bulls (2-2) had a fantastic showing Saturday night as they got on their first winning streak in almost two years. New head coach Lane Kiffin and his Florida Atlantic Owls (1-3) came in with some hype but Buffalo was ready for them. The Bulls jumped out to a 14-0 lead. The Owls rallied back and the had things tied at half but the Bulls never trailed in the game.

The Buffalo Bulls (0-2) have spent the last two weeks on the edge of victory. They came within 10 of a Big Ten opponent and the game against Army was up in the air until the final minutes. This week the Bulls have a chance to get things back on track when they open things at home against an FCS opponent, the Colgate Raiders (1-1). Buffalo will have to avoid last year’s pit fall when they lost to an FCS opponent in their season opener against Albany. The Bulls look like a different team from last year and they should come out with a win.

The Buffalo Bulls (0-2) came to play against a tough Army Black Knights (2-0) team. They had the lead with four minutes left in the game but couldn’t hold on and eventually fell 21-17. They started fast and were up 17-7 in the first 20 minutes of the game. But they stalled out from there and eventually allowed two unanswered touchdowns in the fourth.

Tropical storm Harvey touched down in southwest Louisiana around 4 a.m Wednesday morning near the town of Cameron, LA, according to The New York Times. The storm has now lasted six days and experts are not sure when the rain will stop as the storm was expected to continue through Wednesday. Certain areas of the city set national records for rainfall from a single storm. Local officials have confirmed 30 deaths from flood-related issues.
