UB women’s volleyball (16-4, 6-2 MAC) split two games against the Toledo Rockets (8-11, 6-2 MAC) on Friday and Saturday, coming back to pull out a nervy 3-2 win in the first game before a comeback bid fell short in the second game. The team is still in the driver’s seat in the Mid American Conference’s (MAC) East Division, a game ahead of the second-place Akron Zips (10-9, 5-3 MAC).

After last Thursday’s victory over Northern Illinois, (5-6-3, 3-3-1 MAC), UB women’s soccer (6-3-6, 3-2-3 MAC) hosted the Bowling Green Falcons (7-5-2, 5-1-2 MAC) and finished with a 0-0 draw on Sunday afternoon.

Calling all movie-goers! The Buffalo International Film Festival (BIFF) is running through Oct. 9. The annual fest is packed with a lineup of more than 150 big screen movies .Located in the heart of downtown Buffalo, BIFF takes place at some of Buffalo’s most historic theater venues, such as Hallwalls Contemporary Arts Center, over the course of four days.
