At approximately 3 p.m. an “inattentive driver” of a grey SUV traveling down Sweethome Road rear-ended a blue sedan turning into University Place, resulting in minor injuries, according to an Amherst police officer. The driver of the SUV overacted to the accident, causing the vehicle to roll onto its side. Emergency vehicles responded to the scene shortly after. Both vehicles were towed away and traffic returned to normal by 3:50 p.m.
