International Fiesta is UB's annual celebration of the different cultures on campus that are represented through dance and music. Indian Student Association won this year's competition.  


Indie rock duo MS MR played at the Mainstage Theater in the CFA on Saturday night. Up-and-coming Rochester band Oh Manitou performed as the opening act. The show was hosted and funded by the Student Association.The concert’s attendance was lower than expected. Although SA said it handed out 1,200 of 1,740 available tickets, only 204 students actually attended.

Allen Greene was named UB's athletic director in the UB Stadium team meeting room Tuesday morning. Greene previously served as UB's deputy director of athletics under Danny White, who accepted the AD job at the Univeristy of Central Florida last week.

The men's basketball team got an 87-68 exhibition win over Daemen at Alumni Arena Friday night. New players like CJ Massinburg, Willie Conner and Nick Perkins accounted for 55 of the team’s 87 points.

The football team (3-4, 1-2 Mid-American Conference) defeated Ohio (5-3, 2-2 MAC) 41-17 and captured their first conference win of the Leipold era at UB Stadium Saturday.

The men and women's basketball programs held their annual Bulls Madness pep rally in Alumni Arena Friday night. The night including player and coach introductions and slam-dunk and three-point contests.

Students threw pies at their professors in the Student Union lobby on Thursday for the first-ever Pie a Professor event. The event is organized by UB’s Residence Hall Association (RHA) in an effort to raise money for the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program. RHA raised more than $600 and 160 students participated.

Students stood and raised white posters in the air that read “We Want Answers” and left early to stand in the Slee Hall lobby and protest as people grabbed refreshments.
