On Thursday afternoon in the Lockwood Library Lobby, UB professor Barbara Bono and UB librarians held a Shakespeare Read-A-Thon to honor playwright William Shakespeare’s 400th anniversary of his birth and death. The event had over 30 speakers consisting of students, professors and guest speakers for a span of 3 hours long.

UBCon XXVII kicked off this weekend at the University at Buffalo. The event has been rapidly growing in scope and popularity over the past few years. It is hosted by UB SARPA, UB Anime, UB Cosplay and Pokemon Club. Beyond the incredible costumes and day-long events, UBCon is quickly becoming a haven for gamers and anime-lovers alike.

Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders spoke at Alumni Arena for his "A Future to Believe In Rally" on Monday night. More than 8,000 people packed the arena to hear him speak.

Alpha Epsilon Pi hosted its fifth annual Balling for Boobs three-on-three charity basketball tournament on April 2. The event raised $800, triple the amount projected for this year.

The Buffalo men's basketball team prepared for its upcoming NCAA Tournament game against Miami in the Dunkin' Donuts Center in Providence, Rhode Island Wednesday afternoon. The Bulls are a No. 14 seed and were loose in demeanor while both speaking to the media and practicing. Tipoff for Thursday's game is set for 6:50 p.m.

The Buffalo men's basketball team prepared for its upcoming NCAA Tournament game against Miami in the Dunkin' Donuts Center in Providence, Rhode Island Wednesday afternoon. The Bulls are a No. 14 seed and were loose in demeanor while both speaking to the media and practicing. Tipoff for Thursday's game is set for 6:50 p.m.

Indie rock duo MS MR played at the Mainstage Theater in the CFA on Saturday night. Up-and-coming Rochester band Oh Manitou performed as the opening act. The show was hosted and funded by the Student Association.The concert’s attendance was lower than expected. Although SA said it handed out 1,200 of 1,740 available tickets, only 204 students actually attended.
