Athletic Director Allen Greene to leave UB

Allen Greene will be leaving UB to become the athletic director at Auburn University beginning in February. Greene has been the athletic director for Buffalo since November 2015 and served as an associate athletic director prior to that, under his predecessor, Danny White.


LeDarius Mack hopes to follow in his brother Khalil Mack’s footsteps for UB football

Eight years ago, an unknown linebacker from Florida who played only one year of high school football received just one offer to play Division-I FBS from UB.

That player, Khalil Mack, took to the game quickly.

He went on to become an All-American, the NCAA’s all-time leader in forced fumbles, and most recently, the NFL’s defensive player of the year.

This fall, there will be another Mack in UB’s linebacking corps.


Bulls prepare themselves for nation's top wrestlers

The Bulls will be competing at the NCAA Division I wrestling championships in St. Louis, Missouri from March 16 to 18. Fellow sophomore wrestlers Kyle Akins and Jake Gunning are joining Lantry. The three qualified earlier this month at the MAC tournament and now have their sights set on March 16. 


UB women’s basketball upsets No. 2 seed Ball State in MAC Tournament quarterfinals

The No. 7 seed Buffalo Bulls (22-9, 11-8 Mid-American Conference) upset the No. 2 seed Ball State Cardinals (21-10, 14-5 MAC) 69-65 in the MAC tournament quarterfinals Wednesday at Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, OH. The Bulls led for most of the game but never pulled away. The game featured eight different ties, but the Bulls never relinquished the lead after going ahead early in the second quarter.

Baseball (4-5, MAC 0-0)

The Bulls played in another three game road series over the weekend against the James Madison Bulldogs (7-2). On Friday the Bulls won 13-8, with junior shortstop Ben Haefner, sophomore first baseman Andrew Taft, and senior second baseman Brian Dudek all having home runs.

The Bulls continued on Saturday losing 14-6 to the Bulldogs, letting up eight runs in the sixth inning.
