UB Faculty Senate and Professional Staff Senate hold Day of Shared Governance

The UB Offices of Shared Governance – Faculty Senate and Professional Staff Senate – met Tuesday afternoon in Center for Tomorrow. Along with the two Senates were 10 guest speakers – including Student Association President Matt Rivera and Graduate Student Association (GSA) President Tanja Aho – who participated in a Q&A panel. There were approximately 40 people in attendance.


UB professors weigh in on Gov. Cuomo’s free tuition plan

Students may be able to attend any SUNY and CUNY schools with free tuition in the near future.

But UB professors are questioning what “free tuition” means.

On Jan. 3, Gov. Andrew Cuomo and Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders introduced a proposal to make college tuition-free at all SUNY and CUNY institutions forfamilies making less than $125,000 per year.


UB students question meal plan time gaps

When students are running late for breakfast and the clock hits 10:46 a.m., it is officially too late for them to use their breakfast meal credit.

On weekdays, students can use a breakfast meal swipe from 7 a.m-10:30 a.m. If a student wants to purchase a meal between 10:30 a.m.-11:00 a.m., they must use dining dollars or campus cash

Holder spoke about his early life, gave advice to college students looking to invoke political change on campus and discussed his major gripes with President Donald Trump’s administration.
