UB alum Tiq Milan hosts lecture about issues in the transgender community

Milan, a UB alumnus and Buffalo native, was the keynote speaker for the third annual Sex, Gender, Health Symposium on Nov. 4 and 5, sponsored by the Gender Institute and co-sponsored by the offices of UB Campus Living, Intercultural Diversity Center, Student Engagement, Wellness Education Services, Gay & Lesbian Youth Services (GLYS) and Buffalo Women’s Services.


Cesar Carrion wanted to spread his “runner’s high” which is why he started organizing runs on Mondays at 7 p.m. in the Commons.

Student brings passion for running to UB

It’s hard to find the motivation to start a workout routine without a consistent gym partner. Cesar Carrion has found an entire fitness family since starting his journey last fall, when he was at his heaviest weight of 191 pounds.


Friday night's carnival included fireworks by Lake LaSalle. The Student Association's Spirit Week wrapped up this weekend.

UB Spirit Week gives students and families Buffalo pride

Spirit Week is the largest club-oriented weeklong event on campus and led up to the homecoming football game this past Saturday. Events, like a chicken wing eating contest, sumo wrestling and zip lining were held every day on campus throughout the week to create a friendly competition between student clubs to see who possesses the most spirit.
