The No. 65 Bulls (7-3) went 2-1 on the road this weekend, defeating Bryant (9-7, 1-0 Northeast Conference) Friday and Boston (5-5, 2-0 Patriot League) Sunday, both by scores of 5-2. Buffalo lost to Brown (8-5), 7-0, Saturday.

The Bulls (7-3) dropped two of three games this weekend in the Bulldog Invitational in Athens, Ga. Buffalo lost to Georgia (9-6) Friday and Northern Florida (6-7) Sunday on a walk-off homerun in the 12th inning. The Bulls defeated Western Carolina (8-5), 5-4, Saturday.

Buffalo (17-12, 10-8 Mid-American Conference) defeated Kent State (7-22, 4-14 MAC), 64-51, to clinch the No. 4 seed in next week’s MAC Tournament and a bye to the quarterfinals. Buffalo will play at Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, Ohio, Thursday.
Late high school coach’s perseverance, resilience live on in Sharkey
Kristen Sharkey, a junior forward, is a key player on the women's basketball team and one of the most dominant post players in the conference. Her motivation is her late high school coach, Kathy Snyder, who didn't stop coaching the basketball and field hockey teams when she was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2006. When Sharkey stands back up after getting fouled or elbowed – or even tearing an ACL – it’s Snyder’s toughness coming through her.
