Campus Living has alerted students living on campus to be cautious of UB's residential Canadian geese during their mating season. Canadian geese are territorial and protective. Meet the Candidates: UB Council student representative
The UB Council consists of 10 members: nine appointed by the Governor of New York for seven-year terms and one elected by the students for each academic year. The UB Council student representative election will take place online beginning Tuesday morning. Polls open at 12 a.m. Tuesday and close at 5 p.m. Thursday. The official results will be announced Thursday via email.

The Buffalo Center Chapter of the United University Professions (UUP), UB’s union representing academic and professional employees, came to a resolution last Friday requesting the UB Foundation (UBF) be more transparent in and accountable for its financial decisions.
SA reduces pay of its executive board
Senate approves 2014-15 budget
On Sunday evening, the SA Senate passed the 2014-15 undergraduate SA budget with eight senators approving and three abstaining. The budget includes a breakdown of allocations of funds to clubs, office expenses, entertainment and student stipends – highlighted by a decrease in pay for the three executive board members from $12,000 per person to $10,000.

On Friday night, about 85 teams – including people from Greek Life, the resident halls, clubs as well as cancer survivors – gathered for UB’s Relay For Life in Alumni Area. The night had a superhero theme.
