Bike Path Rapist suspect arrested

The 26-year hunt for the person responsible for the assaults and slaying of several women on local bike paths — including attacks on UB community members Linda Yalem and Joan Diver — led to the arrest of the man who police say is the "Bike Path Rapist" on Monday. [read more]

Bulls win two out of three out of conference

Following the disappointing loss to then-nationally-ranked No. 2 Pittsburgh Panthers, Buffalo hosted three more out of conference games in Alumni Arena before beginning Mid American Conference play. The Bulls finished with a record of 2-1, with the lone loss coming to Delaware State. Buffalo played all three games without senior forward and leading scorer and rebounder, Yassin Idbihi, who was out with an elbow injury. [read more]

Panthers survive scare from Bulls

On the afternoon of Dec. 9, Alumni Arena was certainly the place to be as the Pittsburgh Panthers men's basketball team came to town ranked second in the nation. The 6,350 screaming fans, the third-largest crowd in the history of Alumni Arena, saw the Bulls ahead throughout the entire first half before they squandered an 11-point second half lead.
