Gun-wielding thieves rob student near South Campus

   A UB was robbed at gunpoint early Monday morning near South Campus at the corner of Main Street and Englewood Avenue.

   University Police spokesman Mike DeGeorge stated that the victim was approached at 2 a.m. by three unknown black males wearing black hoodies covering their faces, with one of the suspects pointing a gun to the victim's head while they robbed the student's laptop and iPhone.

   The suspects were last seen running through a South Campus parking lot toward the back of the St. Joseph University Church.

   No suspects were named and the investigation is ongoing.

   Students are urged to contact the University Police with any information regarding the strong-arm robbery at the confidential tip line at 847-2255.
