Football makes $1 million off schedule

According to the Buffalo News, Buffalo Athletic director Warde Manuel has said that the Bulls football schedule should earn the program around $1 million. The largest amount of money will come when the Bulls travel to Auburn to face the Tigers, in a game that will bring the team around $650,000.

Baseball cancels two

Due to inclement weather, the Bulls baseball team has been forced to cancel their games both on Tuesday and Wednesday. Tuesday's away match-up against the Niagara Purple Eagles was cancelled after two-and-a-half innings due to snow, and has been rescheduled for May 17 at 6 p.m. in Niagara at Sal Maglie stadium.

The Wednesday contest, also against the Purple Eagles, was cancelled before the opening pitch due to the poor weather and a light snow still on Amherst's Audubon Field for the 2 p.m. scheduled start. The game has yet to be rescheduled.

NCAA to begin summer drug testing

According to reports, the NCAA will begin drug testing in the summertime for any Division I athletes. The committee is expected to focus more closely on baseball and football.
