Police blotter 11/02-11/07

All information is according to university police.

11/02

1:24 p.m. - A student reported his car had been keyed on the driver side door while it was parked in Jarvis B lot on Nov. 11.

2:25 p.m. - A cab driver claims a student did not pay him $20 for his ride to 110 Hadley Village on Oct. 21. Patrol called the suspect who then agreed to pay restitution at a later date on South Campus. The complainant was advised to contact UPD if the suspect failed to pay.

12:06 p.m. - A student reported that his wallet was stolen from the Porter Quad laundry room. The wallet contained cash, two credit cards and a military ID. Police filed a report.

3:28 p.m. - A student requested to meet with police about a harassment that occurred on campus at her vehicle on Nov. 2. Patrol reported the incident, which involved a juvenile who caused damage to her vehicle. The complainant did not wish to file a report and would handle the damage herself.

11/04

8:24 a.m. – A complainant from Career Services reported a white van with a Missouri license plates running while unattended in the visitor parking lot. The vehicle appeared to be a sleeper van. Police found two traveling monks occupying the van, who were here to make sure the library literature was to their standards.

2:02 p.m. - A student reported a walk-up complainant due to a violation of a UB Stay Away order. Patrol took a report and contacted Judicial Affairs. Patrol advised Judicial Affairs to fax paperwork. Patrol received a UB Order of Protection and the report is on file.

10:57 p.m. - A student walked in to report her ex-boyfriend’s mother messaged her on Facebook telling her to stay away from him.

11/06

1:28 a.m. - Buffalo Police Department reported a female caller from Governors Hall who stated she was with an intoxicated 18-year-old male who was vomiting. Patrol dispatched and met ambulances at Rensch and Audubon.

11/07

8:56 a.m. - An employee reported the security camera at Red Jacket C3 Hallway view was knocked down on Oct. 31. Patrol was dispatched to meet the complainant at his office. Patrol took a report.

3:51 p.m. - Facilities reported someone driving a black BMW at a high rate of speed on Putnam Way near the Computing Center.
