Blake Hamilton fakes a pass to get around Miami defenders. Hamilton will not play in the season opener on Nov. 11 due to a broken bone in his hand.

UB men’s basketball team will be without forward Blake Hamilton for four to six weeks, according to a Buffalo News report.

Hamilton has a broken bone in his left hand and is expected to miss UB’s season opener against Niagara on Nov. 11. His status from that point on is up in the air.

Hamilton averaged 13.1 points and 7.1 rebounds per game last season as UB’s do-it-all forward. Hamilton is expected to take on a bigger role this season as more of a facilitator following former point guard Lamonte Bearden's decision to transfer over the summer.
