Within the past three weeks, there have been four sexual investigations reported to UB police. Ellicott Complex has had two cases so far on Sept. 9and on Sept. 14.
On Sept. 16, a sexual investigation was reported at an off-campus location, but university police could not release any more information regarding the investigations due to NYS Civil Rights Laws, the Rape Shield Law and SUNY Policy, according to Joshua Sticht, Deputy Chief of Police.
A UB alert was sent to students and faculty after the most recent incident early Sunday in Greiner Hall on North Campus. The alert stated police are investigating a complaint involving forcible touching. The suspect is “known to the victim” and the university police investigation is continuing, according to the alert.
