UB graduates arrested in drug raid

Narcotic officers seize marijuana, methamphetamine and ketamine

Three UB graduates and another man were arrested Wednesday night for alleged ties to a drug trafficking ring.

Erie County Sheriff, Buffalo and Amherst narcotic officers arrested UB alumni Lei Meng, Donald Cheng and Brian Wong after a raid of homes on Tyler Street in the University Heights and Sweet Home Road in Amherst. Kevin Shiue was also arrested.

Police seized several hundred methamphetamine pills, 25 pounds of marijuana and two ounces of ketamine in the raids, according to The Buffalo News.

In the raid of their Buffalo home, Meng, Cheng and Shiue were all charged with felony counts of criminal possession of methamphetamine, criminal possession of a stimulant and criminal possession of controlled substances with intent to sell.

In the raid of his Amherst home, Wong was charged with a felony count of criminal possession of marijuana.
